It was just about one year ago when we rescued a very special girl and brought her into our Kathmandu shelter in Nepal. We call her Sara though her actual name, date of birth, and origins are unknown. She was found in a busy transit area just outside of the city, and it was clear from the bruises and scars on her body that she had not only been sexually abused but also dragged and beaten. Sara could not walk on her own or perform basic tasks... We believe she is twelve years old.
After extensive counseling and physical therapy, we are excited to report that Sara has greatly improved. She walks, eats on her own (very heartily!!), and communicates in her own way.
Sara is where she is because of you. One more daughter rescued, safe, and loved.
Thank you for being a part of Global Family and have a wonderful Labor Day weekend!
